Medicare Advantage plans

Certainty earlier, not another dashboard.

ClearStars is CMS Star Ratings analytics for Medicare Advantage organizations. We tell you where the cut points are going and which measures are worth funding this year, at measure level, with the methodology attached to every figure. We do not replace your measure engine. We make its output actionable while the measurement year is still open.

When this becomes urgent

  • Plan Preview told you something you could not act on in time.
  • A rating crossed the 4.0 threshold in either direction.
  • You are setting the Star Ratings assumption for the bid.
  • CMS changed the measure set or the methodology and you are reconciling.
  • A new quality or analytics leader needs a baseline and a plan inside 90 days.
  • Numbers will not tie between the plan, the vendor, and the abstraction team.

Two people have to say yes

One owns the number and the budget. The other owns whether the math holds up. We build for both, and we send the methodology ahead of the meeting so the second one can attack it before agreeing to anything.

  • VP of Quality and Star Ratings

    Quality and Stars

You know what the strategy should be. You are waiting on a ticket for the numbers, and the two things you fear most are a half star drop and a failed audit. Walk into the executive suite with a ranked, dollar weighted plan at the start of the measurement year, instead of a year end surprise.

  • Director of Analytics and Reporting

    Analytics and Reporting

Stop rebuilding the same model every year. Let AI handle the routine ad-hoc requests so your team can build the predictive future instead of being the report desk, on a maintained registry with versioned specifications you can inspect. You are the person a security review runs through, so the first product asks for nothing that needs one.

Products

  • CMS Star Ratings intelligence

    ClearStarsQI

See your Star Ratings performance against CMS cut points, identify bubble measures, and model the math to your target rating. No protected health information, no BAA, fastest to deploy.

  • Deterministic workflow AI

    ClearStarsQI+

Ask your quality data a question in plain English and get a precise, sourced answer, down to the claim event that moved a member in or out of a measure. It shows its work and it does not invent your numbers.

  • Clinical outcomes engine

    ClearStarsLM

Connect quality performance to clinical outcomes and value-based care results, so improvement work is prioritized by patient impact rather than by checkbox.

Services

Services fund the product build and carry the same craft bar. Across every engagement, what we build must survive us: documented deeply, governed strictly, and handed to your team to run.

Managed Services

We run it, on our runbooks, on a published cadence. Because one size does not fit all.

  • Managed Clinical Analytics

Your analytics team, extended. Digital quality data operations, measure outcomes reporting, and end-to-end clinical analytics, built to outlast our team.

  • Provenance First Data Architecture

Provenance-first data architecture. Every published rate traces back to the source record, the specification version, and the run that produced it.

Assessments and Advisory

Bounded engagements that end in a written deliverable rather than an ongoing dependency. Start here when you need to know where you stand.

Custom Development

We build it, scoped and staged, documented well enough to outlast us. Unique solutions for your unique business.

  • Custom Development

Architecture, engineering, and analytics delivery: the governed data foundation, the integrations on top of it, and the reporting that comes out.

What we will not do

We will not guarantee a Star rating or tie our fees to one, because we influence a number we do not control. We are not a certified measure engine and we will never imply otherwise. We do not do chart abstraction, chart chase, or medical record review. Member engagement vendors sit downstream of our work, which makes them a complement rather than a competitor.
